Grindfest 2026, the yearly gathering of biohackers, was quickly approaching, and my wife and I wanted to get an early start preparing the venue. Most years, we tried to show up a couple of days early and prep, but this year, we needed more elbow grease, so we rented a truck and gathered most of the things we wanted to bring. We were visiting thrift stores, and she was scouring Craigslist to find useful things, like cooking implements, but also fun things, like a gumball machine. I spent an entire evening getting things ready to load, and Script Kitty did his best to help by keeping that empty box from starting any trouble.
