2026-05-07 (Th) SubdermalDuino Concept at Grindfest cleanup

My wife and I were preparing for Grindfest early by heading to the venue and getting things ready. I tackled some electrical work, and we both chatted with our friends. I mentioned that I wanted to invest some time into getting a microcontroller implanted in my arm. Several grinders have set out on this path, but I do not know if anyone has succeeded.

The implant was not my idea, and many people have inspired me with similar interests. The goal of the project is to implant a general-purpose microcontroller in a person so it can serve as a test-bed for new projects using sensors, feedback mechanisms, and wireless communication. A friend pointed me toward a low-power Bluetooth unit with all the features I wanted. I ordered several of the boards to start testing.
