2026-05-13 (W) Grindfest2026 Getting ready to haul

The yearly trip to Grindfest is always a haul, both in terms of driving time and luggage. This year, I bought a slightly absurd luggage rack for my Kia. I picked the kind of basket usually seen on off-road SUVs and camper vans. The rack that mounted to my car was a pain! The instructions were awful. Two of the steps said, "Install" without explaining what that meant. The basket was troublesome because of its size, but the quality of hardware and instructions kept it from becoming a nightmare. The new equipment made driving considerably louder. I first thought there was a jet overhead.
