I found a marvelous pair of earplugs on Thingiverse after I bought a pair of Loops for noise isolation. The printed ones boasted the ability to quickly reduce the dampening effect via a threaded baffle, but that never worked for me. The thing that caught my eye was the use of ordinary silicone earbud covers, which I found on my Loops. I thought it must not be too much trouble to make a simple stalk where I could attach a silicone cover. There were dozens of spare covers in my warehouse, so I modeled the peg in OpenSCAD.
I knew that my resin printer was prone to significant elephant-footing, so I printed the stalks without supports right on the print bed. Sure enough, I could make two dozen posts in under an hour, and the elephant-footing created a flared base so I could pull them out of my ears easily. They were less noticeable compared to the Loops. I put a couple of magnets on the ends so they would stick to a steel carrying case and not rattle around, and they would stick together.
