Since the fit tests worked well, I focused on making the text legible. The first attempt was to simply fill the entire panel with a text string; for things like a voltage bus reading "24VDC 24VDC 24VDC," it would be perfect, but often it is necessary to have a unique legend on each segment. I added an option to sequentially number each segment by any increment, even negative numbers. The most common case is placing custom text in each, which required me to research OpenSCAD's functions. I created an array of strings so that I could add any alphanumeric entry, and the program would stretch it to fit. If the entries were all significantly different, the styles looked inconsistent.
