My new plan was to make a printed circuit board with the programming port integrated into the design. Instead of a USB port, I would include four copper pads corresponding to the four pins of a USB port. I was concerned because the Adafruit Feather included a USB↔serial converter, but the MDBT50Q-1MV2 board claims to have native USB capabilities. I added the vital passive support components and ensured they were 1206 size, so I can solder them by hand without handling issues. EasyEDA had an MDBT50Q-1MV2 footprint, so I did not have to spend time making that. I rotated the LEDs to match the board this time. The board had more blank space this time since the microcontroller footprint was considerably smaller, so I can improve it later.
