I converted the faceplate text to subtractive, debossed so that I could print it face-down without supports. Some of the other changes meant that I would not have a flat back. The first, and deepest, was a tall column for the lights. Each light has a deep channel from the light bar, which sits deep inside the enclosure, and shines up its own hole. I may cover the holes with a light diffuser for a very clean look. I moved the microcontroller window closer to the left edge to make plugging into it easier. I added a thicker section to the bottom where it did not touch the rim, but I kept it thin near the keyswitches, which needed a thin surface to attach. I checked the distance on my 25mm encoder knobs, and they would interfere, so I made them 18mm.
I printed the revised parts and found some errors. The knobs did not fit on the encoder shafts because they were too tight. The light channels would pass light, but the LEDs did not seat well. The OLED window had wide gaps on all sides, and it was still too far from the edge. The case was too shallow to fit the deep microcontroller mount. Some of the issues were less important, but since I was remodeling, I wanted to fix them all. I added a 5mm lip to the rim so I would not have to reprint a deeper case. I expanded the shaft hole in the encoder knobs. I shrunk the OLED window. Lastly, I added risers to the PCB mounting holes. I started the model printing overnight. The picture below was the second revision.
