Soylent Green caught us a bit by surprise. Fred, our movie guru, had not seen it yet. Fish and I saw it years ago, and it was better than we remembered. Laurie found some similarities between it and her comic, Path of the Pale Rider. None of us were fans of Charlton Heston, and the acting was on par with many movies from the 1970s. It also occurred to us that this was the oldest piece of popular media we could remember that addressed climate change. Of course, the rampant and irresponsible misogyny was addressed, but not as thoroughly as when Amanda co-hosts.
