The rest of the wiring was going to happen in two stages. The first step was to add long wires to the operators, and the second step was to land them on the circuit board. If I connected each component individually, it might have reduced how much wire I scrapped, but it would have been more than twenty mentally taxing operations. I made the tasks simple by measuring the longest wire I needed and making twenty copies. Then, I stripped one end, tinned it, and soldered it to the leads. It took a while, but I put a lead on all of the encoders and keyswitches.
