2026-08-15 (Sa) EleKSCo REV05 Battery receiver sketch

I wanted the knife handle to feel completely smooth, except for the switch. I still needed to mount something in the middle of the knife to plug my battery into, and a friction-fit piece that locked in place seemed like the best solution. My first thought was a central bolt that compressed a rubber layer, which you can find in a plumbing store. I needed something that kept the center clear since I wanted to mount a power receiver there, and I thought about cement anchors, which expand a bit differently than rubber compression. I settled on wedges that push out of the way as you insert a screw. Each quadrant would have a wedge, and by offsetting the screws, I should minimize twisting as I tighten them. I sketched the idea and remembered that my power adapters have an offset center, so I will need to accommodate that.
