2026-09-02 (W) EleKSCo REV05 Successful battery holders

I planned to finish up the external switch by adding aluminum spacers to the switches. I broke off two switch leads on opposite corners so only one would reach the spacers. I thought to tin the edge of each spacer, and the first one worked, but I could not get solder to stick to the other. The first one required a lot of flux and the hottest setting on my iron. It made a mess and was not repeatable for everyone, so I ordered brass tubing with the correct inside and outside diameter. I purchased tubing with 5mm OD with 1mm walls.

I revised the battery holder model to include a 4mm gap behind the positive battery mount and barrel connector. I probably could have used less, but I have plenty of space for extra wire from the negative terminal. I successfully built the 18350 and 18650 cell holders and tested them to confirm I was getting the proper voltage from the barrel connector.
