I received the parts I needed for the external switch component. I gave up on the aluminum spacers and ordered a brass tube. It was 5mm OD with 1mm walls, so the same dimensions as the spacers, but I had to cut it to length. Instead of trying to cut 2mm-thick spacers to match the old aluminum, I changed the model to allow 5mm-tall spacers and cut my pipe to that length. I needed two, and they took a bit to cut, and it did not help that I dropped one and never found it. I cut a piece of the polycarbonate pipe while I was at it, but I think I made it too short. That may become an 18350 model to accommodate the shorter battery. I swapped out one of the shallow switch holsters and soldered the switch to the brass segments. They accepted the solder immediately. I tested the switch with a digital multimeter, and it worked wonderfully. Mounting was a problem because the bolts would not align, but I pulled them into position. There may have been a slight change in the models and hole spacing since I printed them at different points in the process. I could finally insert a battery and test the sparker, and it worked! A new problem was that the sparks wanted to pass through the brass bolts inside the interior switch piece.
