2026-09-12 (Sa) EleKSCo REV05 Tang revisions

I took apart the old tang and blades, which involved 14 pieces: 2 aluminum blades, their sheaths, the tang piece, 3 coupler nuts, and six bolts. The coupler nuts were deformed when I squeezed them into place, so I discarded them. When I tried installing the LV nuts in the internal switch piece, it cracked the weak plastic. I should have bored out the hole with a 3 mm drill bit first. I needed other changes to the internal switch piece, like clearance for the rear nut, and an open space for the LV wires instead of a hole. The aluminum bars were too tight in the tang, so I should double the clearance there. I made the changes to the tang and printed a copy of it and the internal switch piece. The aluminum bars were still too tight, but I worked them in with some pressure. I added 1/64” to the bar thickness and 1/32” to the width. I could use the existing part, but I sent a new copy to the printer.
