I found a $9 USD dashcam with night vision, and I bought it because I thought it had a standard 1/4" tripod-type mounting style, but it had a square plastic slot, and the included mount had a mating structure. If these cameras were effective, it would be worth the time to create a rail-mounted adapter. I measured the camera's socket and began to model the corresponding shape, but there was a 2mm slot in the top, so I abandoned the tab style and created the Weaver and NERF mounts with a 2mm hole where I could install a long bolt. I printed the part and attached it to the rail and camera, but it was extremely easy to twist side to side.
