I printed three examples with different angles between the stalk and the hoop. The first examples worked well, but I needed to make some changes. The stalk was 3mm too long, the steeper angles were uncomfortable, and the stalk diameter was too large to fit my silicone earbud covers. The next pair fit me well, but my wife said they were too large to fit comfortably. I shrunk the hoop in my next iteration and made it thinner to reduce plastic use. She said they were perfectly comfortable and formed a nice seal. By coincidence, every time I printed four earplugs, exactly one failed. I made a variant, not pictured, where the hoop was solid, and I added text that I filled with neon paint. They were not cool enough to spend the plastic.
