My wife and I watched Thrash (2026) for Critical Affection. We were previously warned that the movie was a stinker, and that adequately prepared us. The production value was excellent, and the special effects were better than many disaster flicks. The acting was better than the movie deserved. The problems were the writing, premise, and internal consistency. The high-level visuals meant that this was not a campy indie cult film, merely a bad high-budget film. If they were going for campy, they should have turned down the realism instead of cracking it. I wrote the quiz for Monday's show, but it was so irreverent that seeing the questions beforehand will not help.
