Sarah was under the weather, so Amanda hosted the show as she, Fred, and I talked about The Day After Tomorrow (2004). Fred and I flipped positions compared to when we talked about Thrash because I liked The Day After Tomorrow and Fred thought it was trash. Admittedly, I mentally reclassified it as disaster porn, so I held it to a lower standard while Fred judged the acting quality of Dennis Quaid and the young actors. Amanda read a homily on the problems ranging from sexism and racism to the lack of scientific merit. We all agreed that this movie did a lot of start the discussion about climate change, so I guess it was more than just disaster porn.
