2026-09-15 (Tu) EleKSCo REV05 Battery holder plug sketch

When I tried to remove the battery, I had to tap the knife to overcome the power connector’s friction and let the battery drop out. It was a mild inconvenience, but I can improve the design. The current models were designed around a plug in the back that held the battery holder in place, but if I could combine them, the plug would give me something to grasp and pull the battery out. Instead of a tapered machine screw, I want to use a countersunk bolt with a wedge-shaped cap, which I can use to push out some brakes that grip the inside of the pipe. I will need to tap part of the plastic, and my current model uses M6, but if I size it for M8, it will also allow tapping at 5/16”.
