The Happytime Murders (2018) was a pretty unenjoyable movie. Chad asked us to review it, and he saw it twice, the first time in theaters. Sarah could not make it, so the rest of us took over host duties, but we wagered she would have disliked the movie too. The best part of the show was brainstorming how it could have been improved. We all liked the idea of puppets mixed with humans, but this one did not land as a fun watch. The 10-year rework of the script probably contributed to the uneven and disjointed feeling. The most obvious failing was that the movie could not pick a lane and therefore fell short of nearly everything it tried.
