I planned to print the latest copy of the sheaths in PLA to save time, since TPU takes twice as long. I let the print head warm up and removed the filament, but the head was hotter than usual. I swapped the filament and started printing a pair of sheaths, but the print failed due to a filament jam. I looked inside, and it was a mess! The whole print head was indeed overheating, so the entering filament was losing rigidity and sticking to the infeed rollers instead of passing into the hotend. I cleared the jam and ordered a new fan since it looked like the cooling fan was stalled. I had to wait for the other printer to finish, so I made another change to the design. I rounded the edges on the tip and edges so they should not scratch anyone, because even the soft TPU could do a little damage with how crisp the angle was. I finished both prints and pressed them together, but did not assemble them with nuts and bolts. Everything lined up, and I think this was a beneficial revision.
